Idea
As school and work resume this autumn, good organization can seem like a distant dream. Which makes it a great time to set up systems that can serve you all year long. Start your "back-to" season on the right foot with our Student Binder project—a binder to organize each student in your home. It really works! The Student Binder is a reference tool for daily use. And when the year is over, it becomes a record of your children's academic year and an archive of all the work that's worth keeping.

Put It Together
1. Use a separate three-ring binder for every student in the family. Pick a different color for each to keep them straight. 2. Label index tabs to cover the important bases. Here's a list of sample categories for starters, with suggestions of what they could contain:
- School schedule: contact information, class & bus schedules 3. Every time you get a school bulletins, report card or other key information, three-hole punch it immediately and put it in the appropriate binder category. Once it's set up, you'll have a handy resource to refer to throughout whole school year and beyond. |
